Job summary

ECS Federal is seeking a Field Service Technician/Documentation Specialist in Norman, OK. The role installs, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment, and develops life-cycle documentation based on engineering and vendor information.

Requirements include 2+ years in the field, US citizenship or Green Card, ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, and readiness to travel for training and site visits. You may lead others and must be capable of handling off-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting or updating technical documentation for machinery and equipment.
• Experience with maintenance repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.
• Ability to communicate technical guidance and failure analysis clearly.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment.
• Trains employees on procedures and equipment use.
• Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures.
• Develops procedures to prevent potential equipment issues.
• Develops life cycle support documentation from engineering and vendor sources.
