Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service team and keep operations running smoothly in Indiana. You will support technicians, coordinate with dispatch, and ensure customers have a positive experience from start to finish.

Ideal candidates are organized, possess strong supervisory and communication skills, and can work after hours as needed. This role offers growth within a growing, employee-owned company with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years management experience.
• Working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong supervisory experience, communication and computer skills required.
• Ability to work after regular business hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops the service staff, including hiring, termination and discipline, scheduling, performance evaluation and assigning work.
• Coordinate maintenance, service, and indoor air quality departments to improve efficiency using reports.
• Resolve customer issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the general manager on budgeting.
• Generate reports and track inventory, tools and vehicles.
• Review payroll records to ensure proper payment of technicians.
• Communicate with dispatchers to assign appropriate technicians.
• Evaluate staff to determine training needs.
• Ensure company vehicles are stocked and warranty parts are managed.
