Job summary

Technical Safety Services LLC is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead a team of technicians delivering testing, certification, environmental monitoring, calibration, and related services at customer facilities across the Baltimore area. You will oversee field operations, develop staff, and ensure high-quality, compliant service for life sciences and healthcare environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two years of testing/certification experience with biological safety cabinets, fume hoods, or cleanroom environments.
• At least two years of business leadership experience with P&L and KPIs.
• Previous experience managing people.
• Combination of education, training, and related experience may meet requirements.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, business, and management capabilities.
• Ability to coach a team, set clear expectations, and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop field service technicians across geography and offerings.
• Manage day-to-day field operations balancing productivity, quality and customer needs.
• Partner with leadership to hit financial targets and monitor KPIs.
• Coordinate with senior staff and training to identify development needs.
• Improve scheduling efficiency and address logistical challenges.
• Support performance management with clear expectations and feedback.
• Resolve customer concerns and technical/equipment issues.
• Perform testing, certification, environmental monitoring, calibration and related services as needed.
