Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A in Bossier City, LA. You will maintain preventive maintenance schedules, test equipment onsite, and perform repairs on fleet equipment and trucks to ensure quality standards are met.

The role involves diagnosing electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems, using diagnostic tools, and coordinating with the shop lead on repairs and service orders. A valid license and field-appropriate tools are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PM schedules for Herc-owned fleet at active job sites.
• Operate/test equipment onsite to confirm quality standards before and after repairs.
• Independently perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet equipment and trucks.
• Produce detailed service reports and repair logs per visit.
• Follow field procedures, protocols, and safety requirements.
