Veolia is seeking an Engineering Support professional in Illinois to support water treatment plants across North America. You will participate in design reviews, run control system tests, and help implement commissioning plans for plant startups and optimization.

The role requires extensive travel (70-80%), independent work, and strong knowledge of RO, ion exchange, and thermal systems, plus hands-on electrical and instrumentation experience. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the water treatment field, with knowledge of structural, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, piping and civil engineering notations.
• Willingness to travel extensively (70-80% ~250 days/year) throughout North America and globally.
• Expert knowledge of water treatment systems including RO, Ion Exchange, and Thermal systems; startup, commissioning, and optimization expertise.
• Strong water treatment chemistry knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Participate in model reviews, design meetings, and safety reviews for accessible, maintainable process equipment.
• Perform control system factory acceptance tests with clients and representatives.
• Define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions to improve operations and determine design viability.
• Develop and execute commissioning schedules and performance plans for water treatment plants.
