The Field Service Engineer (FSE) leads the installation, deployment, and ongoing service of UVeye’s automated vehicle inspection systems at customer sites across the United States. As the primary on-site technical authority, the FSE executes installations, guides third-party contractors, troubleshoots technical issues, and ensures deployments meet engineering, safety, and quality standards.
This is a travel-intensive role (up to 90%) requiring frequent travel between customer locations, including dealerships, manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, and other operational environments.
This role is field-based and requires 100% travel across customer locations within the United States. Responsibilities may include: Extended periods of standing, walking, and working on active job sites. Working in and around vehicle service areas, dealerships, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and outdoor environments. Performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and manual handling of tools or components. Working in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and dust. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, helmets, gloves, and eye protection, as required. The role requires a high level of mobility, physical stamina, and the ability to safely perform hands‑on technical work in diverse operational environments.
UVeye provides salary ranges that comply with the New Jersey State Law on salary transparency in job advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits. The annual base salary range for this position is $32/hr – $38/hr.
