Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems across the assigned region. You will support DoD and DHA facilities and manage work orders with SLAs.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in hardware/software IT support, are eligible for security access, and can travel daily with occasional air travel. Medical device repair experience and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple priorities, and travel as required.
• Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving requirements.
• Daily car travel required, with occasional air travel and overnight stays.
• CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent preferred.

Job description

Requirements

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience
• Eligibility for access to Local, State, and/or Federal facilities may be required, including background investigations and required identification credentials or security badges
• Strong solving, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple priorities, and travel as required
• Associate degree in a related field or 3+ years of Field Service or Technical Support experience
• Medical or electromechanical device repair experience required
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to disassemble/reassemble complex systems
• Proficiency with Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic instruments
• Ability to operate powered and manual hand tools
• Ability to lift 85 lbs frequently and 115 lbs occasionally, including overhead lifts
• Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, reach, grasp, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
• Daily car travel required, with occasional air travel and overnight stays
• 24×7 on-call service experience preferred
• CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent preferred
