Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Engineer to provide region-based support for a single modality, enabling Precision Care and world-class customer service. This role operates at the intersection of serviceability, profitability, and customer experience and requires onsite work at customer locations with travel across North Florida, Southwest Georgia, and Southeast Alabama.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR GEHC internship or externship; OR HS diploma with 4+ years experience servicing electronic equipment.
• Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
• Must comply with GEHC background checks and immunization requirements, and pass drug tests.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to be available after hours or on-call, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventive Maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Effectively communicate with teammates and customers to ensure resolution and follow-up for satisfaction.
• Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services that improve business efficiency.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal service records, order parts, and manage cycle times.
