Job summary

ITT is seeking a Field Service Engineer for VIDAR, a breakthrough in industrial motors. VIDAR is a patented motor with embedded variable speed intelligence built for harsh environments.

The role involves technical installation, commissioning, and on-site support across the United States, with up to 75% travel to customer sites. The engineer will install, troubleshoot, and document procedures, while supporting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Trade certificate in Electrical or electronics desirable.
• Four years of practical experience with motors and VFDs desirable.
• Strong problem solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical installation and commissioning support nationally.
• Support rotating equipment alignment to tolerances using dial indicators or laser equipment.
• On-site startup and troubleshooting services in the United States with reports.
• Fault finding and ensuring correct installation techniques.
• Troubleshoot smart motors and related equipment.
• Assist with assembly, manufacturing, and repair of smart motor equipment.
• Understand motor KPIs and safety compliance.
