Job summary

IT Resource Hunter is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support advanced semiconductor metrology systems at a customer site in Boise, ID. The role focuses on maintaining system performance, resolving complex issues, and supporting installations and upgrades.

The candidate will combine electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with disciplined service documentation and clear communication to own issues through resolution. On-site presence is required at the Boise location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years supporting complex electromechanical equipment, preferably in semiconductor/metrology.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with high-vacuum experience preferred.
• First-level software troubleshooting and technical support.
• Knowledge of SECS/GEM/HSMS and semiconductor fab practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Client systems and end users per warranty and service agreements.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, high-vacuum, software, and integration issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and assist with installations and upgrades.
• Act as on-site liaison among customer teams and Client groups; report status and risks clearly.
• Maintain service records and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
