Job description

Our client is seeking Full-Time, Direct Hire, Field Service Engineers to support nationwide customers and will be based in AZ, OR, ID, OH, TX or NY. Interested candidates must be willing to travel to Japan 1-3 months after hire date to participate in a 2-year training program in Japan.

The Mission of Field Service Engineers is to install, modify, and service complex high vacuum semiconductor equipment and systems, as well as evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues related to such installations and servicing of products at all types of customer sites. They will also provide a wide range of technical assistance to customers and colleagues.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, with specific shifts determined after 2-year training in Japan.
Pay Rate: $38-$43 Hourly DOE

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

1. Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including on-site installations, upgrades, retrofits, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs, and debugging of electronic and mechanical systems. Provide troubleshooting and operational training based on final process results.
2. Recommend equipment modifications or improvements to enhance operation and performance.
3. Submit all necessary documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, and weekly field service reports, adhering to company policies.
4. Maintain technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, drive, and software systems. Participate in continuing education as required.
5. Contribute to training less-experienced engineers.
6. Handle customer service issues to ensure satisfaction and maintain high customer relations.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or prior technical Military experience
• Experience with semiconductor equipment field service
• Troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills for semiconductor equipment
• Ability to travel as needed
• Eligibility to work in the US without visa/work sponsorship
