Job summary

Metrohm USA seeks a Field Service Specialist - Process Analytics to install, maintain, and repair process analytical instrumentation across the Northeastern & Mid-Atlantic U.S. territory, with frequent travel from the Newark, New Jersey area.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and train end users. The role requires strong electrical/analytical skills, the ability to read schematics, and the ability to work independently in customer environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in instrumentation/engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with process/industrial instrumentation.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and service docs.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently in customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Metrohm systems.
• Diagnose and resolve instrumentation and application issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system optimization.
• Conduct equipment testing and verification.
• Review schematics and service docs to support repairs.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Understand customer processes and requirements.
• Provide training and ongoing support to end users.
• Act as trusted advisor to ensure satisfaction.
• Document service activities in Metrohm tools.
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Suggest improvements to service quality and efficiency.
• Support quality initiatives across the service organization.
