The Field Service Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for supporting revenue growth by identifying and submitting qualified leads, while maintaining relationships and representing Cytiva at customer sites. The FSE will perform work on customer instruments following all EHS & Quality procedures. This role requires travel, potentially up to 50% overnight stays, primarily domestic but occasionally international. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

This position is part of the Biotechnology Integrated Solutions organization and will be field-based with travel. Our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What You Will Do

  1. Perform installation, qualification, routine maintenance, and repairs of instruments at customer sites
  2. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling service, completing documentation, and maintaining inventory
  3. Engage with a customer-facing team including Customer Care, Service Sales, and Account Managers

Who You Are

  1. Background in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or related STEM experience, obtained through a Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, military experience, or equivalent technical/professional experience
  2. Knowledge of calibrated tools, hand tools, and power tools
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements

  1. Up to 50% travel including overnight stays, mainly domestic, sometimes international
  2. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  3. Ability to lift, move, and handle up to 50 lbs, and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, squatting, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in environments following GxP guidelines
  • Strong IT skills in Networking and Automation
  • Knowledge of electronics and electricity

At Cytiva, we support flexible, remote working arrangements where eligible. Additional details will be provided during the interview process. The annual salary range is $63,000-$73,000, with potential for bonuses and comprehensive benefits including paid time off, health insurance, and 401(k). Compensation may vary based on experience and other factors.
