Job summary

BD Parata seeks a Field Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support and customer service for pharmacy automation systems in hospital, retail, and long-term-care settings. The role involves break/fix repair, preventive maintenance, system installation support, and customer training to ensure uptime and SLA compliance.

The engineer will travel regionally, participate in a rotation with overnight/ weekend/on-call duties, and collaborate with Product Implementation Teams and field service

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Field Service Engineer experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or pharmacy automation.
• Strong proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office; ability to edit configuration and XML files.
• Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routers/switches, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Experience documenting work clearly and maintaining service records.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for BD Parata pharmacy automation systems and perform break/fix service and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot complex systems with hardware diagnostics and mechanical/ electromechanical repair to maximize uptime.
• Deliver training to pharmacy staff on proper system operation and respond to service requests within SLA.
• Assist with installations, commissioning, and upgrades; document all activities in Salesforce Field Service Lightning.
• Participate in regional coverage with occasional travel, and provide product feedback to engineering and QA teams.
