Job summary

Contract Staffing Recruiters.com seeks an on-site robotics installation technician to support pre-installation planning, equipment transport, and installation of RL and R6 robotic systems. You will interpret drawings, follow safety protocols, perform testing and commissioning, and train operators and maintenance staff.

You will also ensure quality, maintain commissioning documentation, and uphold safety and biosecurity protocols while traveling to sites and reporting to the Head of Field

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-installation site planning as directed by the Head of Field Operations
• Arrive onsite with all tools and equipment necessary for installation.
• Participate in the Robotics pre-install safety review with all install team members.
• Perform mechanical assembly, wiring, and configuration of robotic cells and safety systems.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and site-specific requirements.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to support accurate installation.
• Commissioning of RL and R6 Robotic Systems
• Arrive onsite at least 30 minutes prior to plant production.
• Follow all plant-specific safety, hygiene, and operational protocols.
• Apply code updates and configuration changes as provided by Controls Engineering.
• Conduct system testing, calibration, and validation to ensure optimal performance.
• Deliver hands-on training to operators and maintenance staff on robotic system operation, safety, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate commissioning documentation in MaintainX.
• Respond to service calls promptly and professionally, providing solutions that reflect service-first culture.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot issues related to motion control, sensors, mechanical components, and system integration.
• Communicate service issues, customer concerns, and field observations directly to the Head of Field Operations.
• Report travel plans, current location, and site status to the Head of Field Operations or Field Service Lead, as directed.
• Maintain accurate service logs and customer records in MaintainX.
• Complete all expense reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain company vehicle per policies, including cleanliness and repairs.
