Job summary

Smiths Group plc is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, test, and commission equipment at client locations. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or technical issues and perform preventive maintenance.

The role requires the ability to read technical manuals and travel to customer sites, providing on-site support and training while ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with troubleshooting technical equipment or systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission equipment at client locations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or technical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Document service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, support, logistics).
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
