Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Field Service Engineer Internship candidate in the United States to work on projects involving electrical power distribution equipment. The role offers a summer paid internship with coaching from leaders in the Electrical Engineering Services and Systems team.

You'll gain exposure to field assignments, learn hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and reporting, and develop technical skills as part of a structured training and development curriculum with mentors and team members.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment or degree in engineering (bachelor’s or master’s) from an accredited school.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 overall.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform less conventional, complex engineering tasks such as equipment design, testing, or process studies.
• Gain knowledge in test equipment operation, troubleshooting, protective relays, power quality measurements, disaster recovery, rotating machinery, protection & control design.
• Generate timely service reports on work, product performance and warranties.
