Job summary

Eaton's Field Service Engineer Internship is a paid summer program designed to provide hands-on experience in electrical power distribution. Interns work on projects with measurable business impact and are mentored by division leaders.

You'll gain exposure to test equipment, troubleshooting, and customer-facing field assignments, building technical skills and leadership foundation for future roles.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum GPA 2.8; relocation within the United States may be required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Preferred: electrical/mechanical/mechatronics engineering program; GPA 3.2+.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform less conventional complex engineering assignments related to design, testing, or research.
• Gain knowledge in test equipment operation, troubleshooting, protective relays, power quality, and protection & control design.
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
