Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems team invites you to apply for the Field Service Engineer Internship, a paid summer program designed to develop engineers with hands-on experience in power distribution. Interns work on real projects, are mentored by leaders, and gain exposure to a broad range of services.

You will deliver technical solutions to customers, assist in testing and troubleshooting, and present your findings.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or received a degree in a bachelor’s or master’s program with a focus in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Geographically flexible to relocate within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform less conventional complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations.
• Gain knowledge in Test Equipment Operation, Troubleshooting Techniques, Protective Relays, Power Quality Measurements, Disaster Recovery, Rotating Machinery, Protection & Control Design.
• Generate timely and accurate service reports on work, product performance, and warranties.
