Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems group offers a paid Field Service Engineer Internship designed for students pursuing engineering degrees. Interns will work on electrical power distribution projects, deliver technical solutions to customers, and receive coaching from experienced leaders.

The program emphasizes hands-on field assignments, safety training, and professional development, with a summer curriculum that includes mentoring and project work across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or degree in an engineering program from an accredited institution.
• Minimum overall GPA 2.8.
• Eaton will not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT for this role and visa changes are not provided.
• Must relocate within the United States as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects for electrical power distribution equipment.
• Deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Perform complex engineering assignments including testing, design work, or process studies.
• Gain knowledge in test equipment operation, troubleshooting, protective relays, and power quality measurements.
• Generate timely service reports on work and product performance.
