Job summary

Teledyne LABS in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation on site. The role includes on-site installation, diagnosing performance issues, and providing product support.

You will promote service contracts, respond to customer needs by phone and at client sites, and act as escalation engineer for complex situations. Bachelor's in Engineering or Chemistry and 2–5 years' related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related field; 2–5 years in lab troubleshooting or equipment repair.
• AA in Engineering or related technical field with relevant experience also considered.
• Travel up to 75% and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform on-site installation, diagnose performance issues, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Promote, sell, and support Service products and contracts.
• Provide technical support to customers via phone and on-site visits.
• Serve as escalation engineer for difficult or ongoing issues.
