Job summary

Agfa HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer to manage hardware/software maintenance of stand-alone Agfa products at customer sites in Milwaukee, WI. You will install, repair and service instruments, maintain parts and documentation, and promote service offerings.

The role requires an associate degree in electronics technology, 2–3 years in high‑tech printing/inkjet environments, and strong communication and customer service skills. On‑site work in Milwaukee is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in a high-tech field, printing, publishing or inkjet.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and good judgment.
• Self-motivated with initiative and accountability.
• Knowledge of graphics/inkjet/printing markets is a plus.
• Customer service and support principles.
• Experience with remote diagnostics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair assigned Agfa products at customer sites, verifying safety and operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair functions; manage time & material records.
• Maintain regular contact with Regional Manager for escalation and satisfaction.
• Document service calls, expenses and time per procedures; ensure legibility.
• Handle parts ordering and return of repairable spare parts.
• Ensure service aids and diagnostic equipment are ready for use.
• Coordinate with scheduler to meet response times and uptime commitments.
• Promote Agfa offerings (Maintenance, Professional Services, Products).
