Job summary

Agfa-Gevaert Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Milwaukee-based team. You will install, maintain, and repair Agfa products and related hardware/software at customer sites, ensuring safety and proper operation while coordinating with scheduling and sales teams.

The role requires an associate degree in electronics technology and 2–3 years in a high-tech printing/inkjet environment, with strong communication and remote diagnostics know-how.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a high-tech field, printing, publishing, and/or inkjet environment.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience and understanding of remote diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair assigned Agfa products, verify safety and operation at the customer site.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair functions; document calls and times.
• Maintain communications with Regional Manager for escalation and customer satisfaction.
• Order parts and manage repairable components; ensure tools and diagnostics are service-ready.
• Coordinate with scheduler to meet response time and uptime commitments.
• Promote Agfa offerings such as System Maintenance Agreements and services.
