Job summary

RobCo is seeking a Service & Support Engineer to establish the on-site US presence, lead end-to-end support across the country, and work hands-on with Robflow, Robvision, PLCs, electrics, and safety systems. This role anchors field support in North America with close collaboration to our engineering teams.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues on production robotics, read Python code, and engage on-site with customers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Robotics, or comparable practical experience.
• Several years of experience in field service engineering, technical support, or solutions engineering within robotics or industrial automation.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, ability to read/write Python code, and knowledge of electrics and safety standards.
• Familiarity with IO, Modbus TCP, Profinet, Profibus, IO-Link and PLC exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end Service & Support operations across the US as the foundational technical expert on the ground.
• Hands-on solutions engineering during ramp-up, mastering Robflow, Robvision, PLCs, electrics and safety systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on robotic machinery.
• Read and debug Python code and interface with machine communication protocols.
• Independently prioritize and drive field escalations in a fast paced scale-up environment.
• Collaborate with European teams documenting bugs and hardware requirements for efficient task handoffs.
• Build strong relationships with US customers, ensuring clear communication and valued support.
• Drive product and service improvements from field insights.
