Henderson Group in Addison, IL seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate and repair custom industrial equipment at customer sites. You will also work back at the facility writing SOPs, digitizing records, updating manuals, and shaping a growing service organization.

Travel about 3–4 days per week across the US, with international trips occasionally. The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, training customer personnel, and building strong relationships to drive service improvements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on field service or industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• BS, AAS or technical certifications in electronics or engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel 3–4 days per week, 70% domestically, with some international trips.
• Valid driver's license and passport or ability to obtain both.

Responsabilités

• Travel to customer locations to install, commission, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across electrical, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Provide hands-on training to customer personnel on operation, maintenance, and safety.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships as primary contact for ongoing service needs.
• Identify and communicate upsell opportunities including service agreements and preventive maintenance.
• Relay field observations to internal teams to support product and service improvements.
• Assist with in-house assembly and testing during non-travel periods.
