Job summary

JDC Power Systems, LLC is seeking an FSR3-level Field Service Engineer to own on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning for customer facilities. You will pinpoint faults, run diagnostics, and lead commissioning efforts across various sites in the United States.

Travel is frequent; you will serve as the on-site contact, document actions clearly, and ensure safe operation per OSHA and NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a field service role focused on power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls.
• Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems including transformers and breakers.
• Nice-to-have NFPA 70E and OSHA 30 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Pinpoint faults and repair transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and PLC-driven controls.
• Run diagnostics and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Lead and support commissioning/startups, validating against customer requirements.
• Capture test data, service actions, and system feedback in documentation.
• Work with fellow technicians to coordinate schedules, parts, and expertise.
