Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer III (FSE) with specialized expertise in LC/MS, MS, and experience working with AB Sciex and Shimadzu HPLC/UPLC systems. This role is based in the Mid-Atlantic region (NJ, PA, MD, DE), with a majority of client support concentrated in Delaware.Depending on your location, you can expect to work 35–50% remotely at home.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform on-site repairs and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.

  2. Provide technical support via phone and email to clients.

  3. Coordinate with your manager to escalate service calls if a customer remains down for more than 8 hours.

  4. Monitor and analyze preventive maintenance (PM) and service metrics to ensure high customer satisfaction and instrument performance.

  5. Interpret and troubleshoot using component block diagrams, assembly drawings, and wiring schematics.

  6. Conduct preventive maintenance for both contract and non-contract clients.

  7. Support new equipment installations, including operator training and assay validation at client sites.

  8. Deliver in-service training on operations and preventive care as needed.

  9. Ensure all service activities are documented in compliance with Quality System standards.

  10. Complete administrative duties including travel planning, expense reporting, and parts ordering.

Education
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Engineering, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial/clinical laboratory experience that included performing routine and incident-based instrumentation maintenance and repairs of LC/MS, MS with AB Sciex, and Shimadzu HPLC/UPLC experience required.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $44-56/hour
