Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer II - Turbo Machinery to provide field and factory technical support for centrifugal pumps and compressors. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Associate degree + 7+ years of field service experience in rotating equipment.
• High School Diploma + 10+ years rotating equipment/industrial field service experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on field service experience with rotating equipment.
• 3+ years troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or process control systems in industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems and control logic troubleshooting (2+ years).
• Experience with P&IDs, process control systems, and instrumentation (2+ years).
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Strong customer-facing experience in field service or technical support.
• Ability to manage field assignments and deliver reports within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service activities in compliance with safety regulations and training requirements.
• Provide technical support for centrifugal pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
• Lead installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup at customer sites (3–5 projects/month).
• Troubleshoot complex failures involving mechanical, electrical, process, and control systems.
• Utilize PLC and control logic to diagnose and optimize equipment performance.
• Lead RCFA investigations (2–4 per quarter depending on workload).
• Create and manage service cases in CRM systems.
• Train customers and channel partners through quarterly technical sessions.
• Oversee on-site work by customer technicians to ensure OEM/API compliance.
• Generate technical reports and warranty evaluations within 48–72 hours of site activity.
• Evaluate equipment to classify warranty vs non-warranty failures.
• Support rebuild, repair, and retrofit activities per OEM specifications.
