Job summary

Hitachi High-Technica America, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance on Hitachi's E.C.R. Etching Systems at customer facilities across the United States and internationally.

The role requires interfacing with site coordinators, providing guidance to junior engineers, and completing field service documentation. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with onsite emphasis and requires willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Senior Field Service Engineer - 3 to 5+ years experience repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment (preferably in etch).
• Field Service Engineer II - 1 to 3+ years experience repairing semiconductor manufacturing equipment (preferably in etch).
• Customer interface and communication skills are necessary for this position.
• Must resolve difficult technical issues and devise long term plans to resolve ongoing service related issues at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• The FSE is responsible for addressing all service-related issues at customer sites and providing training to customers and new field engineers.
• The FSE provides technical guidance to junior field engineers and customers.
• The FSE is responsible for performing system installations at customer sites and completing field service documentation used for tracking system reliability and customer billing.
