Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 to join the Field Service Team in Ellendale, North Dakota. You will take on on-site installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, collaborating with peers to deliver superior customer experiences.

Ideal candidates have extensive field service experience, strong networking/fiber knowledge, and relevant certifications, with the ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a remote/ND environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience plus either an Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience delivering technical Field Services supporting hardware and software at client sites.
• Experience in a customer facing role, including reporting to all levels of the organization.
• Experience working where clients have a large deployment of assets and experience with networking and fiber.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs waist high to replace components on server stacks.
• Dell EMC Proven Professional Specialist Level certification (CPSD and/or Server PowerEdge).
• Industry certifications: CompTIA Tech+, A+, Security+, Network+, and CCNA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Triage issues with direction from Dell support.
• Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3 and communicate via Teams, Email, and Phone.
• Document POA results, logs and service reports to Dell via case email.
• Reseating, swapping or replacing parts, and upgrading firmware as needed.
• Conduct server testing and validation by running diagnostics and uploading logs.
