Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 to join the Field Service Team in Dalton, Georgia. You’ll travel to client sites to install, configure, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair systems, delivering on-site support and creating a positive customer experience.

The role emphasizes collaboration with design, solution management and sales to tailor Dell solutions, with a focus on rapid, reliable service delivery and customer satisfaction in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional field services experience with hardware and software.
Associate's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience delivering technical Field Services at client sites.
Experience in a customer-facing role and reporting to all levels of the organization.
Experience working where a large deployment of assets and networking and Fiber are present.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs to replace components on server stacks.

Responsibilities

Triage issues with direction from Dell support.
Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3 via Teams, Email, and Phone.
Document POA results, logs and service reports to Dell.
Reseating, swapping or replacing parts and upgrading firmware as needed.
Run diagnostics and capture/upload logs for server testing and validation.
