Job summary

Dell Technologies in Memphis, Tennessee is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 to join our on-site Field Service team. You will apply technical skills to installation, configuration, integration, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair at customer sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field service experience, an associate's technical degree, and proven ability to work with networking and fiber. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional field services experience with hardware and software
• Experience delivering technical field services at client sites
• Customer-facing experience reporting to all levels of an organization
• Experience in locations with large deployments and familiarity with networking and fiber

Responsibilities

• Triage issues with direction from Dell support
• Execute plan of action from Dell Domain Engineer/L3 via Teams, Email, and Phone
• Document POA results, logs and service reports to Dell via case email
• Reseat or swap components, upgrade firmware as needed
• Perform hardware testing and validation by running diagnostics and uploading logs
