Job summary

EMSAR in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, including hospital beds and diagnostic devices. The role is on-site, Monday–Friday, with paid training and company-provided tools.

You will troubleshoot, document service work, and coordinate with dispatchers using ServiceMax, while maintaining professional appearance and compliance with safety procedures. Occasional regional travel and day trips are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, service manuals, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Knowledge of commonly used field service engineering practices, procedures, and equipment.
• Intermediate-level troubleshooting and technical repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventive maintenance and repairs on hospital beds.
• Provide intermediate-level engineering and technical service support to customers.
• Manage and complete assigned work orders using EMSAR’s service management platform (ServiceMax).
• Maintain consistent communication with dispatchers to coordinate work assignments and scheduling.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
• Maintain a professional appearance and well‑organized tools and equipment while representing EMSAR.
• May be assigned to work regularly at designated client facilities.
