Job summary

Murata Machinery Usa is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service Murata Machine Tools at customer plants in the Philadelphia area. You will demonstrate machines, perform setup and programming, and train customer personnel to ensure proper operation.

The role requires diagnosing electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic issues during warranty, cross-training across disciplines, and supporting sales with technical guidance. Expect up to 85% travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field or other engineering discipline preferred.
• Technical School or Military Certification is acceptable.
• Minimum of 4-8 years of machine tools maintenance or related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Install Murata Machine Tools products at customer plants, including electrical or mechanical set-up and programming.
• Service Murata Machine Tools products, diagnose equipment issues during warranty period.
• Cross-train on mechanical, electrical & electronic maintenance.
• Assist Sales personnel with tool recommendations and opportunity reporting.
• Train customer personnel in processing, tooling, operating, and servicing Murata Machine Tools products.
• Prepare and submit service time and expense reports promptly.
