Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer II to install, diagnose, train, and resolve advanced electromechanical systems at customer sites worldwide. You will work independently with minimal supervision and serve as the technical authority on complex service engagements.

Travel extensively, develop service documentation, guide junior engineers, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Advanced troubleshooting of electromechanical, electronic, and software-driven systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for non-routine issues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex equipment installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance at customer sites.
• Apply advanced diagnostics to resolve electromechanical, electronic, and software issues onsite or remotely.
• Serve as technical authority during customer engagements and recommend improvements.
• Design and validate cutting geometries, process parameters, and test methodologies.
• Interpret measurement systems and adjust to meet performance specifications.
• Deliver technical training on machine operation and software functionality.
• Develop service documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service leadership to resolve challenges.
• Provide detailed service reports, recommendations, and findings.
• Support quotation development with technical input on parts, labor, and scope.
• Mentor and guide junior Service Engineers.
• Travel extensively to customer locations and adapt schedules.
