Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to provide on-site support for QCS and CWS platforms in the Savannah, GA area. You will handle preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, calibrate sensors, and deliver critical reports to customers.

Expect periodic coverage for vacations and 7x24 emergency support as part of a dedicated field team. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant experience in Honeywell QCS, electronics, process control or IT,

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Technology, Electronics, or Engineering.
• 1 year of experience using software diagnostics/configuration for electrical equipment or machinery.
• 4+ years of equivalent experience in Honeywell QCS platforms, Electronics, Process Control, IT or military.

Field Service Engineer II

As a Field Service Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will provide continuing service support for Honeywell QCS and CWS platforms used in Pulp and Paper and other associated industries in the Savannah, GA area on an in-person work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Emergency Support maintenance of customers for various Honeywell Quality Control Systems (QCS) and Continuous Web Solutions (CWS).
• Troubleshoot and solve system and process related problems.
• Perform sensor verification and calibration.
• Publish critical reporting to customers including Monthly Performance, Results Reports, Correction Action Reports.
• Actively interface with customers at all levels. Ensure customer satisfaction through oral and written communication.
• Provide occasional vacation coverage and 7 X 24 emergency support to customer and other technicians.

You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Technology, Electronics, or Engineering
• 4 or more years of equivalent experience in areas such as Honeywell QCS platforms, Electronics, Process Control, Information Technologies or military
• 1 year of experience using software diagnostics and configuration for electrical equipment or machinery
• Valid Driver's license

We Value

• 5 years of experience maintaining Honeywell QCS Platforms and MD and CD Control packages
• Be able to work effectively both individually and with a group without need of direct supervision
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills; capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex system or process problems
• Capable of developing new PMS for existing and new products as knowledge is acquired
• Design/Engineer solutions to prevent reoccurring problems as knowledge is acquired
• Capable of writing, reviewing, and / or editing various types of technical reports
• Interpreting and reading electrical diagrams
• Able to conduct formal meetings with customer management personal
• Capable of evaluating control effectiveness as knowledge is acquired
• Capable of verifying and calibrating sensors as well as possessing a working knowledge of sensor operations and correctors
• Knowledge of system architecture and operations as well as applicable database items needed for basic maintenance and calibration
• Project a positive and confident attitude focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations
