Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Customer Engineer to install, commission and service UPS, Power Distribution Units and related systems across customer sites in the Columbus area. The role requires hands-on training, strong communication with customers, and the ability to work under supervision or independently after training completion.

Travel is required and the position emphasizes safety, proper reporting, and maintaining excellent customer rapport.

Qualifications

• 4+ years military experience in a related technical field.
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully in written and verbal forms.

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks as assigned and per company policies and procedures.
• Render on-site and phone assistance to customers.
• Communicate with Technical Support on issues.
• Maintain safety and administration tasks as required.
• Complete service tasks and return unit to full operating conditions.
