Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Engineer 1 to perform corrective and preventive maintenance across several modalities throughout North and Central Florida, ideally near Gainesville. The role requires on-site customer support with occasional home office work and travel to Gainesville, Ocala, Orlando, and Daytona areas.

This is a 2nd shift position (12 pm–9 pm, flexible). You will learn installation, troubleshooting, and service techniques while partnering with experienced engineers to drive

Qualifications

• Requires degree or equivalent military education in a related engineering field.
• Experience with Web apps and MS Office preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform on-time Preventive Maintenance, FMIs, and corrective repairs.
• Assist experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic equipment issues alongside senior staff.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain administrative duties such as service reports, parts orders, and expense submissions.
