Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to perform on-time preventative maintenance across Sacramento Central Valley equipment families. You will learn installation techniques and basic troubleshooting while partnering with experienced engineers to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualified candidates have an engineering-related degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver's license, and are willing to work after hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/associate degree or equivalent military education in engineering or related field.
• Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to on-call including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
• Support account teams by identifying sales leads and participating in renewal opportunities.
• Maintain service logs, order parts, and track cycle times.

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Equivalent military education

High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience servicing electronic equipment
