Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience with Chromatography (GC) and troubleshooting in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs.

  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.
  • Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.

Your Role
  • Install and optimize hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.
  • Train other field engineers and customers in the solutions.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or other university degree ideally in a science field – e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar; may consider applicants with an equivalent combination of training, education and direct experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a similar position and/or experience as an end‑user of analytical equipment.
  • Experience or expertise with Chromatography (GC).
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem‑solving in a complex customer‑facing capacity.
  • Experience with the Agilent solutions is desired but not essential.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to various locations on a daily basis and interact with a broad range of clientele.
  • Valid driver's license is required.

The U.S. pay range for this full‑time position is $47.75 – $74.60 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new‑hire pay for the position across the relevant U.S. locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
