Job summary

ARxIUM INC is seeking a Field Engineer to serve as the front-line interface for ARxIUM systems at customer facilities in North America. Under minimal supervision, you will install, maintain, repair and modify ARxium systems, delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.

The candidate will have a technical diploma/degree and 7+ years of field service experience, with PLC coding skills and conveyor/automation exposure. Travel is required and a flexible work schedule is available.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a technical field including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, computer, biomedical.
• 7+ years of direct field service experience troubleshooting and repairing computerized electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Conveyor and Automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and hardware preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Perform software and hardware emergency break fix service calls.
• Refines and validates PLC coding.
• Schedule appropriate downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance with the facility.
• Complete all paperwork and reports accurately (tickets, expenses, timesheets).
• Follow up on open issues, tickets and escalations.
• Work outside normal business hours as needed to service products.
• Perform other duties as required.

About The Role:

The Field Engineer (FSE) provides the front line interface of ARxIUM systems to the customer. The FSE, under minimal supervision, and with broad scope of responsibility, performs field service activities involving the installation, maintenance, repair and modification of ARxium systems at a customer facility. The FSR must have excellent, customer centered, communication skills.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Diploma or degree in a technical field including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, computer, biomedical.
• 3 - 5years experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Conveyor and Automation experience.
• Engineering and Electrical experience.
• 7+ years of direct field service (or equivalent) experience troubleshooting and repairing computerized electro-mechanicalsystems.
• 7+ years of experience working in a service capacity with direct customer interaction.

What You’ll Be doing:

• Perform software and hardware preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Perform software and hardware emergency break fix service calls.
• Refines and validates PLC Coding.
• Works with the facility to schedule appropriate downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and reports. This includes ticket updates and closures, expenses, timesheets and other administrative requirements.
• Responsible for following up on open issues, tickets and escalations.
• Working Outside normal business hours may required to service products.
• Performs other duties as required.
