Job summary

Sungrow is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support its ESS and PV customers across Portugal. This role involves hands-on installation, commissioning, and long-term operation to ensure reliable clean-energy systems.

You will diagnose and fix electrical, firmware, and system issues, and work with project teams and partners to deliver high-quality service and documentation. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable discipline.
• Experience in field service, commissioning, maintenance, or technical support in PV/ESS or industrial electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-facing mindset; fluent in Portuguese and English (C1).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned customer cases and provide on-site technical support across Portugal.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, communication, firmware, and system issues affecting PV inverters and energy storage solutions.
• Carry out installation support, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and testing at customer sites.
• Collaborate with Project Management, partners, and customers during commissioning and handover.
