Job summary

Diagnostica Stago is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site and remote technical support for diagnostic instruments in the Quad Cities, IA region. You will install, maintain, and repair systems, train end users, and ensure high customer satisfaction through timely service and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; Associates or Technical Certificate a plus; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years related experience troubleshooting and repairing diagnostic equipment or operating related equipment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of databases and Internet software; Windows 10/7, NT, XP and DOS.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory; up to 75% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide on-site and remote technical support for Stago instruments and systems.
• Customer-Centric Service: Foster strong relationships with customers through active listening and professional communication.
• Timely Response & Resolution: Prioritize service requests and manage workload to address concerns promptly.
• Installs instruments at customer's facility and conducts product demos.
• Preventive Maintenance & Installation: Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Training & Education: Provide on-site training for end users and laboratory personnel.
• Continuous Follow-Through: Maintain updates and communication until full resolution.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work with internal teams to share insights and improve service strategies.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain service records and follow regulatory guidelines.
• Service Contract Promotion: Identify opportunities for service contracts and educate customers.
• Escalate open issues per SOP; handle special projects as assigned.
