Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Field Service Organization in deploying and maintaining mission-critical digital mobile communication systems for government and public safety clients.

Responsibilities include deployment, optimization, and repair of infrastructure, RF and data networks, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role requires an Associates degree or related certificates, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in technology or related field or related industry certificates.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance.
• CJIS Security Policy fingerprint background check requirement.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Travel up to 50–75% as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for mission-critical digital mobile systems, including deployment, optimization, and repair of infrastructure and network equipment.
• Maintain, optimize, test, document, and support complex communication systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance with focus on trend analysis and documentation.
• Develop solutions for technical problems during maintenance, upgrades or support.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Customer Service teams to meet customer expectations.
