Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Service Engineer in Chicago to troubleshoot and analyze field service issues on construction equipment. You will work with the quality process to minimize downtime, identify root causes, and communicate trends to global teams. Travel up to 30% may be required, including international travel.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, strong communication, and collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on field service or shop service experience.
• Associates degree or trade school in heavy equipment service or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to Technical Service Requests (TSR) to assist distribution.
• Review inbound Technical Service Information (TSI) and route to the manufacturing plant for review.
• Participate in special projects as required.
