Job summary

ARxIUM INC is seeking a Field Engineer who provides frontline interface of ARxIUM systems at customer sites. Under minimal supervision, you will install, maintain, repair and modify systems with a strong focus on customer communication and service quality.

This role requires travel to customer facilities, meticulous documentation, and coordination with facilities for downtime. A technical diploma/degree and 3+ years in field service are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, computer, biomedical).
• Conveyor and automation experience preferred.
• 3+ years in field service with customer interaction.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and hardware preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Handle software and hardware emergency break fix service calls.
• Coordinate downtime with the facility for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Complete tickets, reports, timesheets and other administrative requirements accurately.
• Follow up on open issues and escalations.
• Working Outside normal business hours may be required to service products.
• Perform other duties as required.

About The Role:

The Field Engineer (FSE) provides the front line interface of ARxIUM systems to the customer. The FSE, under minimal supervision, and with broad scope of responsibility, performs field service activities involving the installation, maintenance, repair and modification of ARxium systems at a customer facility. The FSR must have excellent, customer centered, communication skills.

Who We're Looking For:

• Diploma or degree in a technical field including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, computer, biomedical.
• Conveyor and Automation experience.
• Engineering and Electrical experience is a plus
• 3+ years of direct field service (or equivalent) experience troubleshooting and repairing computerized electro-mechanicalsystems.
• 3+ years of experience working in a service capacity with direct customer interaction.

What You'll Be doing:

• Perform software and hardware preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Perform software and hardware emergency break fix service calls.
• Refines and validates PLC Coding.
• Works with the facility to schedule appropriate downtime for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and reports. This includes ticket updates and closures, expenses, timesheets and other administrative requirements.
• Responsible for following up on open issues, tickets and escalations.
• Working Outside normal business hours may required to service products.
• Performs other duties as required.
