Job summary

North American Construction Services, Ltd. is seeking a permanent Field Service Engineer to join our team in Pinson, AL.

The role involves commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting combustion systems, with significant travel up to 80% of the time. You will analyze customer site conditions, develop plans to address open issues, read drawings, and prepare BOMs for costing, while supporting sales opportunities and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Availability to travel up to 80%.
• Experience with equipment troubleshooting or commissioning.
• Demonstrated hands-on mechanical and electrical system work.
• Understanding of reading drawings and developing BOMs for costing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial process control or a related field, or a combination of training and experience that provides equivalent skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the customer site situation, assemble information from the customer regarding the open issues, and create a plan to remedy identified opportunities.
• Responsible for commissioning, tuning, and troubleshooting a variety of combustion systems.
• Be able to navigate through PLC and HMI programs, making program changes with the supervision of the control group.
• Identify code compliance deviations and draft code compliance letters as required.
• Assign quotes, create project folders, estimate, generate proposals, JSA’s, and project books for field services.
• Support external and internal sales opportunities.
