Job summary

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the United States. You will commission, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial combustion systems, interfacing with operators and management to improve performance, reliability, and safety.

Requirements include ABET‑accredited associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), English fluency, OSHA 10‑hour and NFPA 70E training (or ability to obtain), and up to 80% travel with valid driver’s license and

Qualifications

• Requires ABET‑accredited associate degree in engineering tech or applied sciences.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/Chemical)
• Travel up to 80% (majority US) for onboarding and field service responsibilities
• Fluency and reporting ability in English
• OSHA 10‑Hour and NFPA 70E safety training (or ability to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Willingness to travel extensively across the US and international sites

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize industrial combustion systems across the United States.
• Perform root cause analysis on system issues and support PID loop programming.
• Interface with plant operators, engineers, and management; provide performance improvement recommendations.
• Prepare service reports, timesheets, and technical documentation per assignment.
• Ensure compliance with Bloom Engineering safety standards and customer site requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management to resolve technical challenges.
