Weingartner is seeking motivated Service Technicians/Service Engineers to support customers across the US and Canada in a travel-intensive field-based role. This position offers hands-on installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of advanced CNC machine tools, with onboarding in Austria and frequent travel.

Two openings exist: Senior-level and Mid-level, with strong mechanical aptitude and customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with CNC machine tools, precision machinery, measuring equipment or related technical service work.
• Strong mechanical knowledge including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechatronics.
• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on CNC-controlled equipment.
• Basic PLC/control knowledge; programming not required.
• Ability to read technical docs, drawings, and service procedures.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on CNC machine tools at customer sites.
• Ensure reliable machine operation and support customers in proper use and maintenance of equipment.
• Respond to service calls, evaluate issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Support installations, acceptance tests, preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
• Coordinate with customers, headquarters, service managers, and sales teams for after-sales support.
• Prepare service reports, documentation, and recommendations for improvements or spare parts.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional field support.
• Travel frequently across the U.S. and Canada, primarily during the workweek.
