Job summary

TRUMPF is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, install, troubleshoot, and repair TRUMPF CNC machines across Milwaukee, WI and nationwide. The role requires 100% travel, including overnight stays and occasional international trips.

You will build strong customer relationships, read repair manuals, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment operates within spec. A related technical education plus driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Associates program or technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
• Experience in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful.
• Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and record.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within expected tolerance.
• Work with Product Support for technical assistance and provide diagnostic feedback.
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to diagnose machine difficulties and suggest updates to documentation.
• Assemble, install, align equipment and replace parts to maintain machine operation.
• Report technical conditions of machines to PSG and management.
• Interface with cross-functional teams such as applications, sales, engineering, production.
• Provide onsite training to customers for operation and/or repair of machines.
• Submit organized service reports for each repair mission.
